Warning! The Hot Beef Sandwich is even BETTER than what Grandma made! Oh my gosh, the beef is marvelous with that gravy... the real mashed potatoes... portion size is huge but you're not going to leave one morsel untouched. It was really great. (We had a newer server that wasn't too speedy, but that gave us more time to enjoy the great food!) Sitting at long tables with benches....worked out fine.
Great food ! Awesome service ( thank you Bailey). Very quick service, more than fair price. Chicken fried steak was delicious! Fried pickles worth a try. Also very clean restrooms. Overall 5 star experience.

The pizza is not good to be missed here. Has had several owners over the last years but the pizza receipt has always stayed the same. Recommend the Rancher pizza and a cold smoke.
We were pleasantly surprised with the wide menu, food quality & reasonable prices! Driving through town with two young kids on off hours (weekday lunch), we expected basic frozen food items- but they had so many side choices, a kids menu, beer and the actual best French dip sandwich! The historic photos on the walls were very cool as well. Highly recommend it.
I’ve ordered a burger with sweet potato fries. The burger has a name but for the life of me I can’t recall it. The burger was stacked with bacon, jalapenos, cheese , lettuce, tomato and onions (some toppings are optional) the sweet potato fries were cooked to perfection and I didn’t leave too much food in the basket once I started eating. The atmosphere is welcoming, I didn’t wait too long for the food and my server was exceptional. The price is good and evidently their pizza is amazing so I may try that next time around. I would recommend this restaurant when in the Choteau area.

This. This is what I think of when I think of a Montana family restaurant/bar. Outstanding service, great burgers, fair prices. And the city of Choteau itself is worth visiting. I'll make the drive out here just to eat at John Henry's. Try the Alpine burger with Alpine fries.
